10 days to go

10 days to the switch-on date. Yawn. Noth­ing hap­pens. The veins in my right hand grad­u­ally cease to hurt, with­out any med­ical inter­ven­tion. I only switched the mouse to my left hand and it would stay this way for some time. My hair are grow­ing back and the scab is dis­ap­pear­ing. I wear my glasses as usual, behind the ear and not on it, since a week ago. I have enough of wear­ing one hear­ing aid only. In some sit­u­a­tions I feel less con­fi­dent this way. But to be hon­est, with my way of life the dif­fer­ence is not so big. Is it the calm before the storm?
